闫老师是个十分幽默的人，给我留下印象最深的就是几星期前的那节英语课。
那时闫老师提问到了一位同学，但是那个同学没有听讲，不知道是哪个问题，也不会。就在这时，闫老师想到了一个绝妙的办法，想着，他笑着对那位同学说：“没事儿，坐下吧，不是你的问题，是脑子的问题，回家花三毛钱换一个脑子就行了！”
课还是接着上，一旦提问到了谁，但是站起来不说话的，老师就会笑着对他们说：“嘴巴忘记带了吗？现在可以回家拿的！”

那天我们正在写书面作业，最后一排的李文婧只小声地说了一声自己头疼，然后用手按住头部，简直没有一点声响。可是闫老师竟然像雷达一样发现了这一小小举动。他就像看到自己的`孩子生病一样，在瞬间跑了过去，问李文婧哪里不舒服，还拿着她的水杯，问她用不用去倒点热水。那时大约离下课还有十五分钟，可是单单这十几分钟，闫老师就去问候李文婧三十次之余。可见闫老师是多么地关心自己的学生啊！

为了英语能考出好成绩，几乎每个家长都使出浑身解数，把自己的孩子推到各种辅导班。浪费了大量的人力物力，还有时间。可这对边远山区的孩子公平吗？外公所在的小学根本就没有英语课，就是想上英语辅导班，也找不到地方。外公经常说：真不明白，为什么一个外国的语言却决定着很多中国的孩子能不能上好大学，真是国家的可悲。是呀，农村的孩子到中学才开始上英语课，我们却已经在辅导班把初中的英语课程学完了。农村的孩子出生便倒在了英语的起跑线上，可悲，可叹。
我不反对学英语，英语也绝不应该和我们的语文数学同比，可以和历史，地理这样的小学科并列，这样既可以把我们的传统文化发扬光大，也给了山区，农村边远地区孩子一个和我们站在同一起跑线的机会。
